Captain Willie Zimmerman doesn't just fish — he hunts. With over two decades navigating the mid-Atlantic canyons out of Ocean City, Maryland, Willie has built a reputation as one of the most relentless offshore captains on the East Coast. His deep knowledge of canyon structure, current breaks, and seasonal migration patterns isn't learned from a book — it's earned through thousands of hours on the water.
At the helm of The RoShamBo — a 65' custom Carolina known as "The Weapon" — Captain Willie targets the biggest and baddest species the Atlantic has to offer: monster Yellowfin, Bigeye, and Bluefin Tuna, Mahi-Mahi, Wahoo, White and Blue Marlin, Sharks, and Swordfish. When the Ocean City season ends, he takes The Weapon south to the Outer Banks, North Carolina, chasing Giant Bluefin Tuna from November through March.
His approach is simple and uncompromising: top-tier equipment, relentless preparation, and an obsession with putting fish on the deck. Every trip is treated like a mission. Every detail matters.

The White Marlin Capital of the World. Captain Willie runs the full offshore season out of OC, targeting everything the mid-Atlantic canyons have to offer — from monster tunas and billfish to mahi, wahoo, swordfish, and sharks. This is where The Weapon was built to dominate.
Outer Banks, NC
November — March
When the canyons cool down, Captain Willie takes The Weapon south to chase the ultimate big-game species — Giant Bluefin Tuna. The warm waters of the Gulf Stream collide with the Outer Banks shelf, creating one of the world's premier winter tuna fisheries.
